  • I was just going to post this, but JSapp beat me to the punch....like he does all of the other recruiting reporters out there.

This is the video that Manti referenced was so influential in his decision to come back. I can see why. Watch this video and try not to get choked up. Can't be done. Well, unless you're dead.

  • Mike Ragones parents saying he made a very pretty lady had me laughing my ass off! Good stuff....and I'm not afraid to admit that I was crying like a baby by the end.

Indeed. Great Video. I got a little teary eyed myself and I'm not afraid to admit it.

  • Really great video. I would show that to all parents accompanying their boys on recruiting trips. Do you think anyone has called MG Jr. Puddin' yet?

  • Wow great video

If your truly a fan it does get to you emotionally because we all watched from their first time in a blue and gold uni to their last snap.

This is what Notre Dame is about. I am so proud of what they have all accomplished and even more proud to say i am a Irish fan.

God bless, Congrats and best of luck to whatever journey comes next young men of ND.

  • Really enjoyed this video - makes you appreciate these kids for what they are, and that's student athletes that are representing this University as best they can, both on and off the field.

  • Highlight reels are enough to make me well up... This video had me legitimately dripping tears. When Brandon Newman's dad said, "When I grow up, I want to be like you son," I thought I was going to die. (That might be a little dramatic, but still.) It can be easy to forget that these guys are more than the product we see on the field. They are all someone's son, and they are all deserving of our respect for what the do every day. Kudos to the Irish athletic/media staff for putting together such a beautiful tribute.

Related note... Did any of you watch the full awards show? I skipped through some parts but watched most of it. I can't imagine being a recruit or parent in the audience and not immediately thinking "sign me up!" Very impressive. You get the feeling that it's a very genuine message they're putting out there.

  • Outstanding! As a parent of a former ND student this video has special meaning. These football parents somehow put into words the feelings we all have about our sons and daughters who have made ND their home for four years. A life changing experience for parents as well.

  • Newest ND commit Ronnie Stanley referenced this video when announcing his decision yesterday. It definitely had an impact on those in the room.

I couldn't find the show. Did you find it on UND.com or Youtube?

  • sportsfanb,

Hit the link attached in the original post. It starts off as Manti video, but the FB Awards Show (parents) is available on the second page.
