I have been working in my garage wood shop on some cabinets for a house we are remodeling. I dug out my music cd's from and about notre dame. Several by the band.. As I listened to them, it made me realize how much joy the University,football team and the campus has brought me over my 73 years. I am very proud to call myself a fan of this university for many reasons. But as I listened to the Notre dame band play "Notre Dame our Mother", I got chills, just as much as the first time I heard it so many years ago.
I thought of the many many great games I saw in the stadium, the great players I have seen, the enjoyment that I got just walking the campus. How fortunate I am to have been able to call myself a ND fan all these years.
