Former Irish player caught with 22 lbs. of marijuana

Pennsylvania police arrested 2009 Notre Dame graduate and former offensive guard Mike Turkovich last week after he signed for a pair of packages previously determined to contain 22 pounds of "high-grade marijuana."
According to an article in the Altoona Mirror, Turkovich also had a firearm and 25 more pounds of marijuana at his home in State College, Penn. Turkovich started for the Irish for two seasons before signing a contract with the Dallas Cowboys. He bounced around the NFL and Arena Football League before refusing to report to camp with the AFL's Pittsburgh Power in 2011.
The street value of the two packages Turkovich signed for is roughly $25,000.
