I hope BK can find a way to develop players betters since recruiting 3 WRs outside of the top 30 at that position in the country is pathetic. How come he can't bring in higher rated WRs with his supposedly high flying offense, #1 QB recruit last year and top Oline class this year?

Don't let the recruiting services and their rankings completely pervert your sense of trust in our coaches whose very job depends upon recruiting and developing talent.

If this were 10 years ago you would have benignly read the recruiting wrap-up story in Blue and Gold Illustrated's March '13 paper issue and thought we got a good one because he ran a 4.4 and had great high school statistics.

Welcome to ND Will Fuller! I think he is a great, highly underrated, pickup. He's listed as a wide receiver, but I see our staff doing wonders with talented athletes, using them in unexpected but very productive ways. Fuller will fit in well. Where, exactly? Don't know, don't particularly care yet. We'll see in a couple of years. But you can't have too many very fast, very talented athletes. There's a conference in the southeast corner of the U.S. that does pretty well with these fast athletes.

Don't Forget based off of ESPN Recruiting Rankings Justin Ferguson was/is a high profile recruit! I love the looks of Brown, if he wouldn't have been hurt for parts of his junior and senior years along with not attending many camps because he devoted much of his spring and summer to Track he might have been much more highly rated! Daniels just 2 yrs ago was played in the ALL American Game too so let's take a deep breath... Oh yeah there's also a player by the name of Davonte Neal who is pretty darn special!!!!!!!!!!!! If we win they will come and this year WE WIN!!!! i hope.

I'm not discounting just 1 WR but when all the WR recruits in the class are not in top 30 then something is wrong.....you can always find some outliers like Tate and Smardz but if you want to compete for NCs, and with an offense predicated on throwing the ball, then we have to get top talent at the position and this class doesn't even come close. Great marks on recruiting at other positions for BK which is why their WR job seems so amiss.

I don't think that's getting wrapped up in ratings but pretty objective when you take a look at the teams that are winning NCs.
