In this old world we have lost sight of something, and that is character.

The men at PSU who covered this up did not have the moral forthrightness that is indicative of the character required of people in their position. They were entrusted with the care of literally thousands of people and tasked with the job of overseeing personnel and a physical plant that contacted many thousands more. They became more interested in perception and money than they did in upholding their duties.

I feel so bad for the victims, yet there is nothing that can be done to erase these heinous crimes. What we as a society can do however is to make sure that such NEVER happens again. I fear however that it will happen again because money, power, and prestige tend to trump morality and truth in our society today.
