I have tried

  • I have given this new site several days and it just doesn't feel the same. I am sure its fine for lots of you and I am glad of that. I wish them nothing but success.

    But, as a lot of you, my spare time is short and I run out of time to do things non work connected. So I guess what this post boils down to, I won't be posting anymore on this site and will not renew when my subscription expires.

    Its been real guys and gals, I have enjoyed 99.99% of you people and you have taught this old man a lot about a lot of things. I thank you for that and for the enjoyment the old site gave me over the three + years I was there.

  • It does have a different feel, bit so does anything new, Job, girlfriend, clothes, shoes,ect. In no time, the new becomes the old. If you are leaving, it was real. Go Irish!

    I agree with Bruss! Get your mangy self back on here and talk football, talk smack, poke Lelly, and all of the other silliness that we do.

    This summer I traded in my fullsize quad cab pickup for a crossover utility vehicle. I hated it for a week, then started to realize that I liked it, and that is saying something for an old redneck boy like me! Just give it a little longer.

  • Exactly....I rememver when we frist switched over from Rivals, alost of people complained because the board looked different. Everyone got used to it in time and loved it. Same thing here. Just give it time. Let them work the bugs out....BTW, its the people here that make the board great, not the layout.

  • The great thing about this board isn't really the look... it's the people. Almost all the same folks are over here, and the rest are surely on the way. As the staff makes adjustments, I'm sure the look will change over time to suit us. I'd hate to see anyone lose this connection right now over something that could change in the next couple of weeks. We should all give it at least our free month to see what happens.

  • Guys, Gals and Florida errr NaplesCarpenter. I do not believe it is the colors, I do not believe it is the layout, and I do not believe it has anything to do with the best group of solid ND fans in the world.

    The reason we are seeing this disenchantment has much more to do with what made good people like FloridaCarpenter feel comfortable at the "Old" B&G. This feels far too much like a glass house, look below your posts each time you write them, we expect that only our fellow Blue and Gold subscribers should "see" our discussion. There are many All team boards, if we were so inclined we would join one of them, we are not.

    In a nutshell, I do not think we want the world to see our discussions anymore than a happily married couple would. I know, it is a simple move the mouse down and click, but I do not like nor want the option. I think Florida feels like the special part of being able to worry, cry, and celebrate with like minded individuals has been corrupted.

    I am here to stay "because of all of you and the best and hardest working staff in the world. I know it will get better. I do not think its bad, I just feel like it is another apple in a large box, and not the special Blue and Gold we are used to.

    Go IRISH !!

    All your friends from the old board are here or will be. Just because the look of the board is not as warm and inviting as the old board it has some nice features and you will get used to.

    To quote JohnnyH. soon you will forget how the old board worked and will love this board and the enhancements that will be here.

    I agree Paddy, it is the people that make the board great, not the layout,which is a good thing because I am not thrilled to say the least with the way this board is set up.
