Agreed. It is tough to say that we are reading it wrong. The only thing is maybe the quote is from before his weekend back at USC this week when he was more of a heavy lean to ND.

I read that quote at the end about 5 times, thinking if I am reading too much into it. I certainly thought this could go for either SC or ND, but it plainly states if his parents can get him out there...and then goes on to say he will see him when he plays on the West Coast.
Why would his parents "need to get him out there" if he went to USC? I am born in raised in L.A. and Orange County isn't far enough from USC to state "get him out there". He could see Langston every day if his day wasn't full of school and practice if he was at USC.
I agree, I think he tipped his hand a little, but I am still not counting my chickens....

When ISD does this type of article, it means the kid involved is coming to ND. They had a very similar article last year on one of the guys, wish I remembered who, but he made his commitment official not long after. There wouldn't be a whole lot of reasons to tell this type of human interest story about a kid that might end up at USC, pretty sure we would all just want to puke if we started to like a kid like this and he did that to us.
And, as noted, he had least two comments that made it clear he plans to be at ND, and you don't have to be a homer to read it that way. USC was basically an afterthought the way he was talking. I love it, this kid can be an impact player and is obviously a high character guy on top of it.

January 4th can't come soon enough. I can hardly wait for these high school allstar games to serve as an appetizer for the main course, the NC. It really feels like we are in the same league with the other power houses now. We won't have to ever rebuild just reload. Sure we will all miss the guys leaving this year, but its so exciting to see what guys will be the next great ones for ND.

ISD had similar stories on Will Mahone and Jarron Jones last year. Hoping to continue the trend.
