I love to hear that the young men do sometimes really give alot of thought to their future not just the immediate. I hate to see a young man choosing a school based on having fun. Of course you dont want to be bored for 4 years, but its the big picture that often gets lost on the youth. I like that they can take multiple 'official visits'. Its stressful as a fan hoping for a commitment from a young man, but this, as we often say, is a 40 year decision. Sounds like a young man who has his head on straight, from de-commiting in the right respectful way, to really giving alot of thought about his future. Cheers to his family for supporting him in his choice wherever he chose.

EV is reminicent of fellow Califorian, Anthony Munoz, who was also a great baseball player.

I like how he didn't make an excuse for the cold weather we get around here. He's seems like a tough guy. Only pansies cry about the cold weather.

Might sound a little out of the blue and random to say this, but Muff McGraw should start pursuing Eddie's sister, widely regarded as an elite basketball prospect. She's averaging over 20 ppg as a freshman, and already has at least one scholarship offer (USC), although the merits of that offer are fairly suspect ...

It also helps that she's 6'2" ...

Tuitt runs a 4.6 40 yard dash. Not saying that Eddie won't be able to run a 4.6 but he doesn't run one now and would get completely smoked in a race with Tuitt(remember Tuitt runs sprints with the DB's). Most of these speed coaches can shave up to 4 tenths of a second off of a 40 time in about a month, which would bring EV down to a 4.6. Pretty fast for an interior d lineman.
