Jason, does Coach Kelly have people that monitor social media? I'm sure those of you that follow Twitter and follow Yuri, you've seen some of his Tweets, and they concern me a bit. I don't really want to post them here for the non-Tweeters, but let's just say a lot of vulgur sex talk and even a weed comment. Could these be the reason Michigan cooled on him?
I know he's just a highschool kid, and I probably had the same comments and thoughts in highschool, but I would hope he would know better to post them on a social media site for the world to see....and potential colleges that may see that as a red flag and jeopardize a scholarship to play a game you love and could be very successful at at the next level.
Kids are kids, but you want someone as part of your program to have the maturity to know not to post stuff like that.

There a thread a while ago about his poor family situation. I don't know any specifics, but he seems to be a kid without to much parental supervision or support. It does not appear that ND is going into this situation blind to a possible issue.

After reading through his tweets, I would have a tough time classifying him as a "RKG".

That may be the reason why BK and company didnt go after him hard right off the bat. Then again who knows.

It sounds like the guy has had a rough life without much of a family to speak of. Similar to others in that situation they are normally easily influenced. If you get them in the right situation they could flourish and hang on to the family feel. ND could do wonders for him. He might require a little extra attention but he would be worth it IMHO.

Lets just say there are definitely other players in particular some playing for us right now that we all are really excited about that took me by surprise with their twitter comments.. I'm not naming names but one in particular that really shocked me last night and I really like this kids potential!! I wish Coach Kelly would ban it like Urban did at Ohio State..

Not trying to condone his actions, but I don't think the weed comment is incriminating. He was saying he hates girls who sleep with guys for weed. Can't say I disagree with him on that one.
But overall, yeah, definitely a lack of sound judgment. His twitter feed is protected from the general public, but still, c'mon man. That said, I don't buy for a second that's why Michigan stopped recruiting him. I think that has a lot more to do with his lack of cover skills and the fact they project him as a safety, but already have 3 safetys committed.
