Stay focused - right now ALL that's important is beating USC! Remember last year? How poorly ND started that game - well this sat ND gets a great opportunity to revenge that loss - ND needs to play this game like THIS IS the ONLY game that counts! Who cares about Barkley - ALL ND needs to do is DOMINATE this game! GO IRISH!!

What a headline I'm still laughing

On what Notre Dame needs to do against USC's many offensive weapons:

"Tackle, tackle, tackle, tackle and tackle. They’re incredibly skilled with the ball in their hand, and if they have a lot of space, they’re going to make you pay. We felt against Oklahoma that we had to limit some of the catches and the extended runs. We’ll have to do a great job tackling, and that will be paramount to our success against USC."

Footbal basic skills - tackle and block - Coach Lombardi said this many times it doesn't matter if the other team knows what you're going to do just do these basic skills(execution) better than the other guy and you WIN! GO IRISH!!

Being number one in the nation, wow does that sound great.

USC is just another underdog opponent trying to save their season.

Its USC week…be prepared mentally and physically for this game. Throw any thoughts of records; wins and losses out of your mind. Focus on playing your best game yet this season against the men of Troy. Don’t be tempted to listen to those who talk about their four losses and an injured qb. They have plenty of weapons they have speed and strength and would like nothing better than to topple you from the #1 ranking. Do not let a new qb be placed in the Heisman race because he had an outstanding game against you. Be prepared for a 60 minute battle and March Onward To Victory!
