Manti Te’o On Threshold Of History

Can Manti Te’o win the Heisman tonight? If he did, it would be yet another first among Notre Dame recipients of the award.

  • I would love to see him win the Heisman but i don't feel good about his chances.

  • Ricky Williams shared his vote with the Longhorn Network and had Te'o first and Manziel second. The votes I've seen revealed seem to indicate a close race.

I hope he can pull it off john. It would be great to see.

  • Manti Teo embodies the prime example of what a man should strive to become. He is tough when he needs to be, considerate, compassionate, kind, thoughtful, generous with his time, courteous to everyone, religious, and he freely gives of himself. He's a real man, a Notre Dame man!

He is the type of person that was meant to be awarded.the Heisman Trophy!

Your style of posting always reminds me of an Ezra Pound poem.

  • WHY MANTI SHOULD WIN THE HEISMAN:

    1. He hasn't had a bad series, while the other two finalists have had bad games. This has directly resulted in ND being undefeated and the other two schools not
    2. He is a consumate leader and team player who best embodies the traits the award is supposed to represent
3.ND has twelve wins against FBS teams. KS has 10 and A&M 9
    4. Manti's interceptions are the equivalent or more at his position of the other guys' stats
    5. The same guys who said ND couldn't win 10 games, couldn't beat Okla, couldn't beat USC etc etc (hello Mark May. Ricky Reilly, are you relevant any more???) are the guys saying he can't or shouldn't win the Heismann
    6. Just to invalidate all the electioneering ESPN and others are doing for Johnny touch football
    7. Like Bertelli and the rest, he had a season that transcended football. He is the face of college football, not just ND, or at least the face everyone would rathe put on it than all the scandals, etc.

  • Johnny FB wins. Hard to argue against his stats. It is wonderful motivation on 1/7 though! It was never about personal awards w/ #5 anyway, so on some level all is right.
