Momma Lynch NONE too happy

  • Momma Lynch posted several times last night on Twitter how her boy was making a mistake. Even going as far as asking other players to talk some sense into her boy. Tried to look back at them but it seems she may have shut down her account since?

  • While there is a 1% chance he would return to Notre Dame, maybe his momma can talk some sense into him.

  • The last thing I'd want to do is convince him to stay. It's not like he's in the first week of school; he's played an entire season and has a pretty good sense of the school and team, if he's not inclined to stay after the season he had just let him go. The fact he's willing to give up football next year and go home to a team that (BEAT US) went 5-7 in the Big East shows how little football or education matters at this moment. Life is too short to be unhappy, let him go home.

  • his mom is looking at the benefits and life skills that come from a great education. he sees $$$ signs after maybe two more years of parks and recreation majors. his mom will then come around while sitting poolside at her new mansion......

How big of mansion can you get with a education from South Florida and a blown out knee?

  • If he is not happy he need's to go. He is no good to anyone on field or off being miserable. I hope AL find's his way seem's like a very conflicted young man.

Hes not coming back but it makes me happy that hes got a good parent that realizes the situation. If your own mom who sacrificed a lot to come move closer to himon so he could go to ND cant talk sense into him nobody can. But ultimately its Aarons decision and no one elses.

  • My brother transferred from notre dame after one semester, and we lived an hour away in northwest Indiana. He simply wasn't happy there and wanted to live at home and was perfectly content with an education from purdue calumet. And guess what, he'll be every bit as successful with that degree as he would have been with one from notre dame Bc he his incredibly smart and passionate about what he wants to do.

Now I do believe he's moving back to s Florida primarily Bc his girl's there and that can be dangerous. 9 out of 10 times that backfires at that age, but who am I to say don't do it. I moved down to Texas after 6 months of dating my now fiancé long distance and couldn't be happier. I didn't leave school for that but still... The post above about life being too short to not do what makes you happy is 100% correct.

That being said...... Please please please don't leave Aaron!!!!!

He's a great player, but if he's going to keep doing this "crap", let him go. Let the coaches put the time and effort into a player they can count on, no a "baby" who is packing his bags to leave once or twice a year

  • Good point Clancy unless he blows a knee then he and Mom will be what working in parks and recreation... Point is Mom wants a young man to finish what he starts... AS my grandfather used to say "cant put an old mans head on a young mans shoulders" meaning experience is a wise and tuff teacher

I always hate this argument. I am an ND grad, but please realize that ND is not the only place to receive a good education. While ND almost certainly has a higher success rate (however you choose to define that) than USF, going to USF does not preclude him from being successful. Not to mention he is pretty good at football and has 2 good knees at the moment.

  • A lot of "life is too short not to be happy" comments about Lynch. At 70, I would add: "life is too long not to make wise choices along the way." A variant on "no pain, no gain."

If Aaron was on the futures market, InTrade would have ND vs. SPE (Some Place Else) even money with the chart pointing "North" for ND and south for SPE.

I wonder if Momma Lynch was in the meeting with Skip. If she was, and Skip is a man (ND) with character, that was some encounter. If the right questions were asked (They all start and end with - WHY.), and as someone already wrote - he's still on campus - I wouldn't end this chapter on # 19.

The question might have to be asked if he can rejoin the team. Although, I think Te'o already answered it.

Go Lynchs. Go Irish Blue & Gold.
