NBC releases full football schedule for 2012

NBC will have 32 games this year while it attempts to expand its college football coverage beyond just Notre Dame. A link to the full list of games is below.

CBS will broadcast the game live starting at 8:00 am South Bend time.

They would have but it is not an ND home game.
As an aside when do we think ND will play a game on NBCSN? I am not opposed to it, in fact I thought it might be cool for ND to take an ownership interest in the network and have a ton of ND sports content on the schedule.

The game will actually kick off at 9am ET, which is 2pm local time in Dublin. It's a 5-hour time difference that time of year between Dublin and the East Coast.

To a degree that has already begun. I think going forward you'll see more and more of the non-revenue sports being promoted on NBCSN. Hockey and lacrosse were both featured in "inside the program" type documentaries that lasted about 30 minutes each and ran several times this year. Notre Dame is a big part of NBCSN's plans to broadcast a weekly college hockey game on Friday nights and will get many of those time slots. I wouldn't be surprised to see more sports popping up during the next year and eventually some of the lower tier football games.
