The Big East has entered its death spiral. It is past time ND realized its future is certainly more important than its past. Agree? Read that sentence again, please.
To carve out a compelling future with conference affiliation, please, there is only one rational choice. Get on with it -- go ACC.
Think about the fellow institutions: Duke, North Caroiina, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Miami, Florida State, Virgina and Virginia Tech . . . it fits so well academically and culturally.
Tell Swarbrick and the Board of Trustees that waiting longer will only imperil out future///YES

I agree that IF it comes to this in the near future ... ACC seems the right choice. I am not clear that we have come to that point. And I am very confident that Swarbrick is a better judge of when we arrive at that point ... than I.

ND is basically an ACC school in everything but geography. They are a logical fit with institutions like Duke, WF, UVA, UNC, Miami, BC, GT, 'Cuse etc.

Exactly! I want to stay Indpendent for as long as possible, but if the time comes we HAVE TO go to a conference, I want B1G.
The academics are way better in the B1G anyway. Plus the B1G is a more respectable football conference

If ACC loses Clemson and FSU to Big 12 ... it must be Big 12... why again only from FB perspective... you will reach kids from Texas to North Carolina-Florida... that is most of the nation...at least Nation we want to recruit...
