When do players run the 40?

Some reports i have been reading in the media the last few days has Manti droppiong. Now it seems everyone is basing it on how he got manhandled by Alabama. Isn't it amazing how much stock the experts put into one game. We all remember how much Jamarcus Russell shot up the charts by destroying us with jump ball passes in the Sugar bowl,lol. How did that turn out in the NFL.

I think some of it has to do with the hoax as well. He would have been better off getting a DUI or arrested for assault or drugs than getting duped by a "confused" nut case. Unbelievable.

Agreed Edd, I would like to believe that the savvy Owner's/GM's and Coaches evaluate and draft based on a players overall body of work not just one game or one weekend of workouts. But we see it time in and time out, that players shoot up draft boards because of playing one great game or having amazing test results but never really producing in the NFL. The cynical side of me wants people to sleep on him and let him slide down the draft boards, then Manti can thump people for 10+ years, i'd like to see offensive coordinators scheme specifically for him. Finally the NFL network can make a film on draft day sleepers and rate him #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ogletree the ILB from UGA was climbing(at least before his DUI) and UGA gave up 350 yards rushing and over 500 total against ALA. if manti runs well, he will climb back up the charts.
