Loyola's Eric Lusby strikes first after Notre Dame turned the ball over in its first possession. Greyhounds lead 1-0.
Notre Dame ties it up during a man advantage. Loyola was called for interference and sophomore Jim Marlatt ripped a shot from the outside past Loyola's goalie.
Lusby gave Loyola the lead back with a really nice move in close to the net. Easy to see why he has more than 50 goals so far this season. Notre Dame attackmen Steve Murphy takes a shot from his own teammate in the head, which could not have felt good.

Kemp playing really well for the Irish so far. He has three saves in big spots. That's keeping the score close for now but Lusby just scored again. He already has three goals and the Greyhounds lead 3-1. Notre Dame turning the ball over too frequently on offense.
Check that. Lusby had an assist on the third goal. But he made up for it. Just scored again. 4-1 Loyola. Notre Dame needs to get some long offensive possessions to settle things down.
Westy Hopkins breaks a 20-minute scoreless streak for the Irish after spinning out of a double team. They're back in range, trailing 4-2 with two minutes left in the half.
Six seconds later Nick Beattie, feel good story of the year for the Irish, scores right off the face off. It's now 4-3.
Loyola scores with 2 seconds left in the half to make it 5-3.
Good news for Notre Dame: After a really slow and pretty sloppy first half on offense the Irish are still well within striking distance. The Irish have really taken over in the second half all season long. Third quarter has been a good time for Corrigan's team.
Bad news for Notre Dame: Loyola just stole the momentum back with that last minute goal and is now feeling good heading into the locker room. Notre Dame still hasn't found an answer for Eric Lusby and the team's leading scorer Mike Sawyer hasn't heated up yet.
Loyola has a hot start to the third quarter. Lusby remains unstoppable as he gets his fourth and fifth goals of the game. Greyhounds lead 7-3.
Sean Rogers gives Notre Dame a little bit of life. He benefits from a long clear from the Irish defense and finished a goal. 7-4 with seven minutes remaining.
Westy Hopkins turns the goal into another Irish flurry. He scores about 20 seconds later. 7-5 now.
Notre Dame can't make any more of a comeback. Loyola hangs on to knock off the Irish 7-5.
