I really think that this area of the team is as good as we have had for a long time. Atkinson has potential and talent oozing from him. Name another back in college football who runs a 10.3 100m and is 6-2 215. I see big things from him. Cierre may be a top five college back going into the year and he is poised for a great year. Throw in Riddick who will be Mr. Everything and we have the skill position players to compete or beat Oklahoma or SC. We put it all together this year and watch out. ND I think can be a top ten team with what they have this year. They can also be a top 50 team if they do not figure this thing out. It is all on Kelly this year. Year 3 he should be able to field the offense he wants to be at a championship level. I think he is more confident than ever. Defense is there. Offense is the key.

As long as Cierre stays healthy, we are in good shape here. I am a little concerned about our short yardage game with the departure of Jonas. I'd like to see Amir red shirt this season considering we likely will lose Riddick, Wood, and Toma after this season.

Toma is a senior this year, so yes, we will be losing him.

Start hendrix at QB who can throw and run And the offense will open up, also he is a pre med student /ie smarts, SLADE

Slade- Hendrix is the second best QB at throwing the ball right now and the second best at running. Just because he is pre med doesn't mean he is football smart. He likes to drill holes in opposing LBers chests. The choice is Golson. It's not that complicated.

One small thought- The best players play best against the best competition, i.e., they rise to the occasion. IMO USC and MSU were the two best teams we played last year and those are the two GA3 took it to the house on.

Lou has it dead on again. One of the best groups we have had in a while and its about a 7.5 for production. Could be a 8 potentially but for someone like the poster above to say a 9 minimum has the homer glasses on. One we need to see how the new slot postion will produce with Martins offense. And two a 9 or 10 would be like having Trent Rchardson and/or Mark Ingram back there. These guys we have are good, but the only one that has been game productive consistently is Cierre.. Riddick has had spurts and Toma has proven he can be effective. George has had flashes but we need to see it produce on gamedays consistently to say "its a minimum 9". very excited about this group though as a whole for this year.
