ND Women Advance To Sweet 16

For the 10th time under head coach Muffet McGraw, Notre Dame advanced to the Sweet 16, this time with a 77-64 victory Monday night over Temple in Salt Lake City.
Devereaux Peters had her ninth career double-double, finishing with 17 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Natalie Novosel also tallied 17 points and Skylar Diggins added 15 points for Notre Dame (28-7), while Becca Bruszewski had 12 and Natalie Achonwa 10 off the bench.
Notre Dame led 41-29 at halftime and improved to 26-0 when leading at the half this season. The Irish will play this weekend in Dayton, Ohio the winner of Tuesday's matchup between 3-seed Miami and 6-seed Oklahoma. The Sooners defeated ND in Sweet 16 last year.

Thank God for the women. National Champs in Soccer; Hopefully National Champs in Fencing and moving forward in Basketball.

I was at the game on Saturday against Utah. This team plays well and is focused. Skylar Diggins really controls the game. She is good!!!
