I dont care what you do to the physical appearance of the stadium as long as it is to the point where people quit saying it is the small design of the michigan stadium

Today's game requires upgrades. Whether it's something substantial like a jumbotron, field turf, additional boxes, or something small like music during the game, I feel they are all needed for today's game and today's players. For that reason, I also love the alternate unis and helmets. There's nothing wrong with having a special series like the Shamrock series where we bust out something crazy. No, I don't want to turn into Oregon wearing a different helmet, uni, and pant every week, but I have absolutely no problem with wearing the greens a week and then something crazy another week. I would also add today's fans to that list of those that need the upgrades. Yes, you can have great seats, but on the other end of the field you NEED a jumbotron. You add more seats because you can never have enough seats. Maybe with more seats comes more volume in the stadium. You also put in turf to safe on maintenance, save on slop-related injuries, and because with our newly-added team speed we become that much faster.

Yes, we need to uphold the traditon of ND because that's what makes it special. However, tradition does not mean leave everything exactly how it is.

I consider myself a traditionalist in many ways, but as some have mentioned above, there's never anything wrong with upgrades. Upgrades can pay homage to tradition and the feel of old Notre Dame, kind of like the way the House that Rock Built was preserved within the new stadium's outer walls. I don't think the stadium needs or will get an overhaul like the one in these drawings, but as long as we're adding on, let's throw in the jumbotron and field turf first!
