Notre Dame-Louisville Preview

No. 24 Notre Dame closes the Big East regular season Saturday at No. 8 Louisville.

  • This would be a huge win. I don't think we pull it out though

  • ND's board control keeps them in the game given their hot/cold offense. Louisville's defense isn't going to make scoring points easy. ND can't afford to fall behind +10 pts - yea I know they came back strong in that last outing but I ain't betting on that to happen twice NOT in the Card's house - that last close loss will provide them motivation. ND stacks up well against Louisville and I was impressed with our effort at Marquette's house(TOs cost ND that game - my opinion). So I feel ND can get a W there - just stay close - own the boards AND keep the TOs LOW! GO IRISH!

  • Unless Grant/Atkins/Connaughton get red hot from 3 point range, we could struggle to score without Beidschied from the perimeter. This might be a game where we run the burn the entire time and just try to pound it inside to Cooley and Knight.
    Go Irish!

My luck w/the Irish 18-6...GO IRISH!!!

This is particularly true when you add in the fact that Louisville really defends the perimeter intensely (I think they'll have someone guarding Grant from the minute he walks out of the locker room). I can't see this game getting out of the fifties for either team. Notre Dame really needs to take care of the ball against that harassing defense.

  • I think its time for the burn also, i have a feeling we will see it. This would be a huge win if we could pull it off.

    First time POTW for 4/18/2011-4/24/2011.
