Draft articles always remind me of players who had great NFL careers but were not drafted very high. One comes to mind is Mark Bavaro, an All-Pro who wasn't drafted until the 4th round.

Funny you should mention that because tomorrow I will post a piece I did on the 10 all-time greatest draft "steals" from Notre Dame. And no, Bavaro didn't quite make that list, although he probably would have been in the top 20.

how about Justin Tuck? would he be one of the steals? I don't remember where he was in the draft

He was a third-round pick (same as Joe Montana), so I wouldn't consider that a steal, although I don't think most people projected him to be the player he has become.
