Quick question on Lou's write-up. The way it reads, DaVaris Daniels is behind Toma in the slot. Is that correct, or is he behind TJ at the X?

The slot receiver is interchangeable with Toma (who was working with the backs because the title is running backs/slots), but Riddick or Wood can be on the field at the same time. Too much emphasis is put on who's starting when the reality is the receivers are rotating in and out, and all could be on the field at the same time from different positions.

For example, you could have Toma, Riddick, Jones and Daniels (more of an X with Jones) all out there on one play. Other plays you could have three tight ends, maybe Riddick in the slot and Woods in the backfield.

A few practices are open for the first 20 minutes where you can take a body count during some skeletal drills and see who's healthy and who might be sidelined. I've been doing this 27 years but could never answer the question "how do they look?" when they're not playing against another team.

There will be one open practice later in the spring where you can better formulate a depth chart in your head.

Any news on our 3 young studs on D from last year, Williams, Lynch, Tuitt. I here anything about them today. Am i missing something.

We're only allowed access for the stretch period and some of the position drills, but we'll get access to one of the practices in its entirety.
