Notre Dame spring practice updates - Day 9

  • Didn't one of our recent visitors say they hung out with aaron and aaron said nothing but good things about ND?

  • Everyone needs to relax, im sure we will find out its nothing seriously concerning for ND and all look like idiots. Whoever said "where there's heat theres fire" is the epitomy of the "end of the world" mentality a lot of us ND fans get at the slightest hint of anything uncomfortable. Relax people im sure he's fine and it has nothing to do with any ricidulous notion of defection or "uncertain" return. Considering everything he's managed to do up to this point and the fact that hes a starter, it would be nothing short of idiotic for him to choose NOW to leave the team.

Agreed--I don't think anyone should be flipping out yet.

However, the fact that it's Aaron Lynch makes it a little more suspect. It is WELL known that he isn't very happy in South Bend and had the mentality of "if I transfer then I'll have to sit out a year...if I stay then I'm going first round after my junior season". His mom is constantly hitting him up on facebook etc. sending him positive affirmations...plus he's engaged and probably misses his fiancee like hell.

I see why people are going nuts but I still think we oughta relax and wait for an update.

Thanks for that insite. I'm glad my boss didn't walk in my office when I first read the news on here. I threw some papers around my desk. I hope we get a positive update very soon.

  • TOS is reporting that apparently Lynch was in an altercation during practice on Saturday but that its unclear if it was a factor in his absence. Brian Kelly will address the media @ 10am and clarify.

  • I highly doubt Kelly is going to provide too many specifics. This appears to be one of those situations that will be resolved behind locker room doors and it should be.

  • I dont know if it has been clarified any further, but the Tribune says he had some "family issues" and went back to see his mom in Ohio. Also, Easter break is this weekend. So it wouldn't surprise me if they let him leave a bit early due to these issues and his homesickness.
