OL Steve Elmer Jr. -- Invited to "The Opening"

@TheOpening2012 has announced that Notre Dame OL commit Steve Elmer Jr. has been invited to "The Opening" following his performance at the Illinois NFTC event at Illinois on Sunday.
Another Irish pledge that is set to participate in the event is CB Devin Butler.
Elmer was among the Top 10 performers on 247Sports:

The best of the Illinois Nike Football Training Camp

Though it was a small group that competed at the Illinois NFTC, it was no less difficult to land in 247Sportss top performers.

I still think his best chance to prove will be in the All-American game(Is it Army for Steve??). I don't put a lot of stock in some of these camps for lineman not playing in pads and going 1 on 1 with DB's playing DE, etc.

Well deserved invitation. I fully expect him to go there and prove he's in fact a top fifteen player as he was initially rated..

He is a monster who has more than done his share already to prove himself. This is just icing on the cake. He got to ND and is the spark that has started this recruiting avalanche.
