OT: NY Giants

  • The team that beat the Jets, Cowboys, and now Atlanta is a much different team than we saw earlier in the year. The two key things the Giants did poorly this year was rush the passer and run the ball. This was due to key players being banged up (Tuck, Umenyora, and Ahmad Bradshaw). With these guys healthy they these two key areas of the game become a strongpoint. Add that to the year Eli and his receivers are having, and who knows....

  • I agree wholeheartedly! As a Giants fan, this team is coming together at the right time and starting to look good. Granted, playing at Green Bay next week is going to be a HUGE obstacle, but I like the match up and I think they have a fighter's chance. The Packers' defense is absolutely awful, so if the Giants can stop their offense a handful of times (they did pitch a shutout today, after all), I think they may find themselves in a very good spot. It's going to be a fun game to watch.

  • This up coming game is going to be exciting! Giants are healthy and GB's D is not that impressive . Aaron has been the difference - he's very good AND smart. I don't have a 'dog' in this fight - i actually like both teams so I'm going to enjoy this game knowing I'm not going to be mortified about 'my' team not winning:) Well maybe the Giants - they've got Tuck LOL!! GO IRISH!!

  • hopefully we keep up the string of beating the Ryans:
    Jets: Rex Ryan
    Dallas: Rob Ryan
    Atlanta: Matt Ryan
Green Bay: some guy named Ryan Grant :-)

  • WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!! LOVE MY GIANTS!!!

They were killing me during the season, but they got hot at the right time! I'm looking back on that game agianst Greenbay where we played them to the last second and I'm vividly remembering 2007!!Love the way this team is playing ball right now....I hope Brian Kelly and company is taking notes...

  • I had no idea that we had all these GEEEEE-MEN fans here. Awesome. While Manningham did have a nice grab on his td, I'd have to say that the toss by Eli was just pure beauty. Total perfection. Gotta love the way the D-Line is starting to come together after seemingly everyone was nursing an injury at one point or another. Linebacker play has been the biggest problem all year. Boley coming back helps, and re-signing Chase Blackburn has infused some life into LB's and Specials.

Manningham had a great game but he has to be my least favorite Giant. He almost always makes a bonehead play per game. Often times has no awareness of the sideline and makes easy sideline catches into incompletions (although he had great awareness on Sunday).

Just a really frustrating player. At times he looks like he can be a #2 receiver and other times he looks like a kid who got a 6 on his wonderlic test.

Hate to rain on the parade, but the Jets, Cowboys, and Atlanta are nowhere near the team your Giants are about the face next Sunday. Anything can happen, and I witnessed "anything" back in 2007 when the Giants beat the Pack in the NFC championship, but the Packers are hitting on all cylinders too. The most important part is that several key players are coming back from injury and the Packers have a healthy and fully rested team for the first time since, oh, the first week of 2010. The Pack have been without Bulaga, Clifton, Jennings, and Starks for a couple weeks now, but they all come back on Sunday.

It will be fun to watch and should be a great game. No doubt the Giants will give everything they have. Calling for a high of 22 with a slight chance of snow up here, but that's still 40 degrees warmer than 2007! As long as the weather doesn't hamper the Packers passing game, I say the Pack by 7.

  • Roger's has been resting for a few weeks, I'm hoping for him to be rusty and a little off his game. I know Rogers won't get to rattled by the rush, we just need to slow him down a bit and for the Giants offense to eat up the WEAK packers defense...

  • Green Bay's receivers were off their game, but if the refs didn't shaft the Giants on 3 critical calls, the score would have been more lopsided. As I said in my original post, this Giants team is very different than it was 6 weeks ago. Tuck, Umenyora, Bradshaw, Manningham, Ballard, Bass are healthy. Key guys for the Giants.

Just like 2007 the Giants know when to turn it on,they were the better team today,Nicks has had a nice 2 week run.

May your neighbors respect you, Trouble neglect you, The angels protect you, And heaven accept you.

  • Can't say that GB didn't have their chances! Too many dropped passes - timely TOs AND they got a few breaks like that 1st quarter 'non' fumble - well it was a close call but looked like a fumble to me. But that 'Hail Mary' pass just before half time was just 'BRUTAL' - if you're a GB fan. Looking forward to the 49ers/Giants matchup. Seeing how SF won their game(reminded me of THE Montana - Clark TD) - looks like they have the momentum - playing in SF. Although the Giants will have their 'mojo' up going into hostile territory!! Giants D is 'peaking' at the right time! Good game coming up. GO IRISH!!
