OT: Tampa Bay signs Eric LeGrand

Feel good story of the morning so far: The Tampa Bay Bucs signed former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand. LeGrand, as some of you probably remember, was paralyzed in 2010 during a kickoff return while playing at Rutgers. Greg Schiano, new coach of the Bucs, was the head coach at Rutgers at the time.

Sorry to be the lone debbie downer here.....
Hope it turns out in the end to be a feel good story.
I worry about the risk benifit of playing a young man
who has already been paralyzed .
Hope he had a through evaluation and is not at high risk.

That is awesome. It's hard not to love this kid for how positive he stayed after that unfortunate incident. Seeing him lead the Scarlet Knights onto the field was a great moment to watch as well.

Going to assume some confusion and this isn't sarcasm, but signing is symbolic, like when a player signs a contract to retire with his old team. He is not going to play. This will give him some closure and ability to realize a dream and milestone, being signed by an NFL team. He wants to go into broadcasting.
