OT Taylor Decker - Commitment to OSU official, ND still in it?

Posted in the ongoing thread on Decker above, but - Nothing new to report on Decker at this time. He's still on his official visit to Ohio State.
But we reported prior to the visit that ND was in a strong in-state battle and would know exactly where they stand after the trip.
As soon as we get an update per the Decker camp, we'll be sure to provide an update, but we've been told the visit to OSU went well.
UPDATE:
Told from a source close to the situation that Taylor Decker did in fact commit to Ohio State.
UPDATE:
Decker just texted me confirming:
"I have committed to OSU."
UPDATE:
Details on decision to flip to OSU?
"Not at this time."
UPDATE:
Notre Dame still on his radar moving forward?
"Probably not, which is not to be rude at all. I just have figured everything out."
UPDATE on 1/16:
On report that his commitment to Ohio State isn't official?
"That is completely false."

Decker was still the question mark commit after all the coaching changes, so really this shouldn't come as a surprise. Along with Prestwood, Matt Hegarty is another exciting lineman already on the roster. Still time to pick up another lineman, and there are quite a few top players not committed.

like we did not know this was happening... something tells me he is not totally comfortable with this decision.... just a gut feeling I assume much family and peer pressure... but it happens

Relax, in the long run it will be his lost!! Every kid has to do what's best for them. You guys are expecting a generation that has never been taught loyalty or commitment to abide by a certain standard, not happening!! It really isn't there fault, it's the way of the world. I've been coaching for twenty two years and the emphasis has changed from team to the individual and I just take it in stride, because my generation is the one who first started asking why and questioning authority, so my point is times are changing, some good in it and some bad....

Not going to lose sleep over this one.... in a situation where one jumps ship over an assist coaching change i think we learn more about the kid then we do about us...
