This decision by Decker is up there with the worst in college football. 2 coaches recruit a player to come to one school for months and then change jobs and immediately start pitching the new school. This is not a system that is looking to protect the student athlete. Shame on the NCAA and the 2 coaches

Now boys. Let's not have a fit. Our coaches are deployed all over the place trying to steal verbals from other schools. We are no different than Meyer or anyone else. All's fair. He just might be better at it.

protect the student athlete? There is nothing to protect. The kid and his family are aware that the coaches switched schools. Clearly they were more comfortable with Warriner than the yet to be named ND coach.

This board is just filled with sour grapes because this class is not on the level of the classes that other elite programs are putting together. Having only two OL hurts depth and if yo move Jones then DL depth is hurt.

He did the same thing at Florida (to ND). Where were you then?

Bottom line is we lost a very good offensive lineman, and that is not good. We have been in a very rough patch lately, hopefully we can end the recruiting season on a high note.

Nothing to do with sour grapes it has to do with the NCAA and a better system. If the NCAA cared about a fair process they would not let coaches recruit the same players for different schools during the same recruiting year. In the long run Decker coming or not coming to ND will have little to no impact on the program

A top line coach and we would have kept this kid and get Garnett..now we none...only two OL recruits is a disaster...not getting a full completment of recruits at the 4 star level is a disaster..with 5th year guys..even if they are good we lose the deveopment time for the next group needed in two years...a few injuries next year and we are not going to be competitive..this was a key year with the 2008 class leaving..unles a miricle happens there is no good spin to what is going on...

Lets hope we get the Armsteads then they would probably move Jarron Jones to the offensive side. Worst case scenario Golic sticks around for a 5th year to full the gap on o line until next recruitment class.

Jones is best suit for the OL anyways and honestly, with Hagerty last year, Stanley and Jones in this class, and Elmer already next year how much would he have played in his career? At 6'8" he has to play tackle. The depth would've been nice, but it's nowhere near the magnitude of the Darby decommitment.
