And I mean now. How in the world can he and his QB coach be on the sideline Saturday? They are complicit in this tragedy. Holding him as the highest authority at PSU points to the incestual nature of the PSU footbal program and administration. If this doesn't prove who is running the show then nothing does.
He KNEW there was inappropriate behavior between the boy and Sandusky and then informed his "superiors". What a joke. There is NO ONE superior to JoePa at that university.
As soon as the brass saw that their deity was not going to move on it, then there was no way in hell they were going to stain the program by notifying the police.Suspend the season, refund the ticket money, fire all involved with the program over the past 10 years and reevaluate.
My God, raping of a defenseless boy under the reprehensible cover of a program for "troubled youth".
And for anyone thinks I would not call for the same at ND for a similar situation, think again. Any program like PSU needs to be shutdown and gutted to remove the evil.

1st and foremost any one who sexually abuses a child should be put to death immediately in as painful a process as possible.
AS to Joe Paterno, I must wait to until the details have come out as to how much he "KNEW". Allegations made against the coach were reported to the administration. If the administration then failed that is not on Joe Paterno.
It would be like holding someone that reports a potential crime responsible for the failing of police and the justice to prove the guilt of the criminal
Again let me reiterate I believe that anyone who abuse a child sexually should be terminated with extreme prejudice.
I think Joe has a responsibility to protect the kids that attend camps at PSU as does any head coach at any university. However if he truly handed it over to his superiors and they failed, if they told Joe there was no basis then Joe did all he could do.
Is that the case?
I don't know, that is why we need an investigation from outside authorities. If it turns out that Joe and the administrators covered it up then they are just as guilty and should receive the same punishment as the actual perpetrator.
To some I be way too extreme but, that is also why I think we must hold judgement and sentencing until it has been thoroughly investigated and proven.
We owe it to children to protect them from people who abuse sexually abuse them. The average pedophile will molest over 300 children. We must terminate them to protect children. Let God judge their and our salvation. I prefer that I protected the children by terminating the exist of a pedophile in this life than stand in judgement for having allowed a pedophile the continuing rape of children.

well said. You can't hold this strictly on Paterno. He did his job and reported it as he should have. Should he have pressed harder? Probably. But he did what he was supposed to do. He will lose his job over this but let the man finish out the year and retire with dignity. Joe Pa deserves that.

Paterno must go
