The O-line should dominate this year with veterans like Watt, Cave, and Martin. After watching Wood busting through the middle in the Spring game it gave me hope that he really improved his power runs inside the tackles and can now pick up the short yardage on 3rd downs. Go Irish!
Wood looked great in the spring game, seeing the entire field, waiting for blocks and excellent cuts. However, Riddick is the perfect running back compliment as he hits the hole in a flash and bashes straight ahead until he sees a crease. With younger running backs adding quality depth, the ground game, led by a top-ten offensive line, should be the best in years.
