Notre Dame QB commit Malik Zaire performed well at Friday's Elite 11 Regional in Columbus. Afterwards he talked about the blue-chippers he's trying to help lure to South Bend.

I love this kid! Im trying not to get too crazy because that DB from Fresno said good things also. This kid says all the right things & fits BK's system like a glove

Im not has high on this kid as I am on Kiel. I think with Kiel's height, coachability and his ability to throw the ball and run it of needs be.
Now I don't mean to be overly excited ethier.. I think Kiel is a Tebow that can throw. He is big strong and atheltic. Give Kiel a chance before we nominate yet another "QB of the future" ... QB.

Think Zaire is the perfect fit for BK's real spread attack. Love this kid and am glad we got him. Followed the event today on twitter and saw glowing marks from TOS analyst. He didn't win the event, but I feel pretty confident he'll get an invite to the Elite11. This setting doesn't allow for his other attributes to shine.

At times he looked great, at times he had throws in the dirt but if Zaire can get more consistent he could become a big-time quarterback on the next level.” Well let's hope this happens. We heard this too many times and for too long.

He's the type of player you just can't keep on the sidelines. He'll have an impact at any skill position on the field. If he can work his magic with half of the players he mentioned, last year's debacle (and Lynch) will become distant memories.

Gotta love the recruiting tidbits that Zaire provided! I think Rochell and Jaylon are the two most important recruits on the defensive side of the ball for this class hands down and one could make the arguement that Demarcus and Green are the two most important recruits on the offensive side of the ball. I'm really hoping Zaire can help ND make some headway with Demarcus and Green because it sounds like ND is already in the drivers seat with Rochell and Jaylon. Go Irish!

the last great "qb of the future" we had here at nd who threw alot of dirtballs now plays at kansas......

Different thing with Tee. You could tell that Tee genuinely loved ND throughout the recruiting process, and probably still does. Just too bad that he didn't have the grades.
