I always find it interesting to see how each recruit is treated, while on campus. I think it offers a little insight into how badly the staff wants each player. I remember Von Bell coming to campus last spring, and he didn't even get to meet with BK. I knew then that, for whatever reason, the staff was not seriously recruiting him.

This isn't the end-all-be-all. Hood is likely the only recruit on campus, during a window where there are no organized team (meaning coaches too) events. So, he has a little more time to cater to recruits. However, we all know how busy BK is, between speaking engagements and other miscellaneous appearances. So, the fact that he is ushering Hood around campus, indicates that they think very highly of him as a prospect.

This only makes me want him more. I also agree with IW; his film is some of the most entertaining I've seen. He seems to relish contact, and I think he's even seeking it out on some of those runs.

Bell wasn't recruited seriously because he wasn't looking at ND seriously. He was only on campus for a few hours IIRC.

No matter the reason, BK was on campus. If he wanted to make an impression on Bell, he easily could have. The fact that no attempt was made, told me all I needed to know.

This is no criticism of BK (far from it), nor is it an indictment of Bell as a prospect. I just thought it was an interesting, and frankly unique, scenario where a top 25 prospect (which he was on 247, at the time, IIRC) was on campus and was shown "no love".

It told me all I needed to know, regarding his future recruitment and ND.
