Was just letting a troll get to me on a post I had about Heisman & seeing this makes me smile! This staff is hitting HR's over & over again.

Its Because (and while I'm happy we have him yet hate to be a downer), he just isnt that fast is my guess. In his tape he gets caught from behind alot and doesnt seem to accelerate well at the second level. Not slow of course, but not elite speed. FWIW the 247 rating at 130 seems better to me than the Rivals one in the top 20.

But again, happy to have him.

I'd honestly prefer to have a RB who is great in traffic, like Bryant, than a burner. I know burners are rare, and you'd love to have that in an elusive, tough RB as well, but grinding out first downs is a more common need than going untouched and needing to run 60 yards instead of 40.

Sure, valid outlook as to your preferences. I too very much enjoy a punishing Eddie Lacy type in traffic who when the bodies pile on him seems like a 3 or 4 man crowd surf tumbling over. Id love to see a shortish, thick legged, burner see what he can do to make a go of this. A Ray Rice, Mark Ingram type.

But my perfect back for ND after having watched this team this season with THIS offense isnt Bryant, nor Lacy, nor Ray Rice nor Ingram......its Theo Riddick. :)
