Let's assume that Tommy keeps developing, cuts down on his turnovers and ND keeps winning. Tommy would be our qb for the next two years.

You have to admit that this leads to an interesting scenario whereby Kelly won't be able to have his kind of qb until three seasons from now !

Even if we are winnig, it would have to drive Kelly crazy not being able to utilize this part of his offense for years. He could put one of the mobile qb's in from time to time in a game, but that is not the same as having a mobile qb in all the time. He will no doubt have open competition during the spring, but how do you bench a successful starter and start an inexperienced though mobile qb ?

How would you handle this situation ? ( or, how should Kelly handle this situation should it occur ) ?
