S Ahmad Thomas - Commits to Oklahoma

  • Irish offered safety Ahmad Thomas, who told BlueandGold.com soon after landing the offer on April 27 that Notre Dame was the favorite, decided to commit to Oklahoma yesterday.

    It was a quick decision for Thomas

    In just a four day period, OU offered and received a commitment from talented safety Ahmad Thomas of storied Central High School in Miami, Florida.

    I really hate to say it but this is another example of why these headlines
    "ND in the top 3"; or "ND the favorite" or "So and so says ND is his dream
    offer" or "So and so finally landed the offer he has been waiting for" are
    simply that--nothing but sentences from which one should move on.

    This is not to say that Jason, Steve and the rest of the staff are to
    blame; rather, they do their best in what is an almost impossible situation.

    I can see another reason, though, why Lou has publicly stated on
    this forum that he is not a "recruiting buff."

  • This is a head scratcher. The kid has never been to the campus and had to go do his homework after the offer to learn about the place, and then commits right away? What can you say?
