Scholarship Breakdown...

(Don't read if you don't want a kick in the teeth)
I was reading the scholarship breakdown the other day and something stood out to me. We have 3 unused scholarships for this upcoming season. Those 3 spots should have been taken by:
Aaron Lynch
Tee Shephard
Deontay Greenberry
Those are 3 pretty good players, but what makes it worse? That's 3 potential starters that are not only not starting, not even on the team, but those are the scholarships that we aren't using this year. It's one thing to lose 3 scholarships from your team, it's another to lose 3 potential starters and not get replaced with anyone, that's tough.
(I know this is a depressing post, but no down-votes are necessarily)

No doubt it hurts losing Lynch. However, having a guy who didn't want to be in SB at all & could have been causing rifts between players & himself due to the staff's need to keep him placated is not, in the least, an ideal situation. Secondly, I don't think you can miss players who never played. Just my thoughts on the other two. I just don't think it's fair to try to quantify someone's potential contribution.

The glass half full view is that we have 3 more scholarships available this year to offer to recruits like Jaylon Smith, Anzalone and Heuerman!

The post isn't non-sense, it's looking at the fact our roster is short 3 scholarships and pointing out who had them. Down votes are unnecessary, especially since I warned you in advance.

Agreed Parrott! No down votes are necessary. The only thing I'd prefer to do is look ahead. The rear view mirror does nothing for us today... You were just stating the painfully obvious!
