Staff Question - Chris Brown

Did Chris Brown's dad play for ND in the early 80's? There was a DB by the same name who I believe graduated in 84 that was really good friends with my dad (who has since passed). I was just curious if this was his son. I remember playing with his kids when I was little, and they would be about 18/19 now. Thought I would go to the experts since all my research has come up empty.

There was a Chris Brown at ND who wore No. 9 and was my classmate. He played quite a bit as a freshman for Dan Devine's last team in 1980 that was ranked No. 2 and 9-0-1 before losing the last two games. He and Stacey Toran were a strong tandem in the secondary, and both were 6th-round draft picks.

Thanks for the info Lou. I grew up around Chris as he and my Dad were good friends. Even gave me a lot of ND memoribilia and that is what kick started my love of this program. If you had any contact info that woudl be awesome, would love to touch base as I haven't talked to him in years.
