I realize these statements are being made under the assumption that Torii is going to redshirt, be it medical or otherwise. It's been mentioned by BGI staff on multiple occasions that if a scholarship student athlete is going to be a 2sport athlete and one of those sports is football, the 'ship MUST be counted against the football total.

Sorry this is wrong and there is a loophole.

If Torii is unable to play football in 2013. He can come in on a baseball scholarship, however I'm a bit confused on exactly what it is, but his Football in Spring 2013 would be limited. I'm not even sure if he could join the team or if he's just not allowed to dress.

After he participated in his Freshman year of baseball, then as a Sophmore 2014 he can go out for football. However once he goes out for football or dresses or makes the team the baseball scholarship gets transferred over to a football scholarship.
