The violations themselves weren't that bad or big a deal, but when you are already on probation and reporting FORTY SIX more secondary violations that's unacceptable and a problem. Particularly when the AD and new head coach are doing them.
It also tweaks me a little to see Spence and Elliot involved since ND was in the mix. Spence cited a family atmosphere and staff interest as a reason for picking O$U. Who is to say part of that interest isn't that Meyer wished him luck in the playoffs while Kelly didn't because Kelly followed the letter of the law. That's where the line between secondary violations and no violations blurs.
