Sense everyone wants to have doubt, guess I'll be the one that has blind faith in this young man. He has always had Notre Dame in his heart . I will always support this young man. He's always been a warrior for his team and can't imagine him willing being apart of such an historic fraud that this will turn out to be.
I second that! We can't blame teo for knowing until he said he knew, otherwise it seems clear to me he didn't
I'm with you.
And it's also amazing to me that supposed fans, who cheered every one of his tackles, are now willing to pile on. Nobody on this board knows all of the facts, but there are people here making judgements.

Agreed, forget about football the kid has a long list of good things he has done and volunteered for. Anyone piling on should go find another team.
I also agree and we should all pray for Manti..
Prayers for Manti, his family & all involved, SICK HOAX.
ND Family...Go Irish !!!!
My feelings that I posted on my FB:
Kind of in a mood today. The whole Manti Te’o thing has got me bummed. I wish that we lived in a society that wasn’t so judgmental and critical. We spend tremendous effort in building people up and then double the effort in tearing them down after one misstep – all the while seemingly failing to realize that no one is perfect and EVERYONE has faults. One mistake should not label you, yet sadly it happens all too often in my opinion. Heck, I think I’ve been guilty of it. Additionally, there are some things that people don’t want others to know – we all have embarrassments/moments we wish we could change. Now with all of the resources we have at our disposal (Internet, etc.) we can totally invade anyone’s privacy without giving it a second thought. People take pride in “outing” others, filming people at their weakest moments, digging up dirt on others, etc. and it’s considered “news”. Now a young (and from all accounts) upstanding kid is probably going to be branded/ridiculed for the rest of his life. Maybe he knew, maybe he didn’t. I don’t know. But as far as I can ascertain he committed no crime and should not be treated like a he has. There use to be a time in America when the press used a little discretion (JFK affairs, etc.). I’m not saying it was right, but hey – that’s what happened and ignorance was seemingly bliss at that time. I wonder what that feels like. I suppose I could go somewhere and live in a cabin in the wilderness to find out.

I told myself that I was going to even look at a Manti thread at this point, but I am making one exception. I agree with the sentiment and support Manti. He is by everything that I have read over the last 4 years a great person. He is also just a kid. This will blow past us soon enough, but I certainly support Manti and all of my ND brothers and sisters in any time of need.
“Notre Dame? Relevant? Of course. Call me in 90 years, and I’ll give you the same answer.” Neal Pilson, former president of CBS Sports
This doesn't change my opinion of Manti whatever happened or didn't! If he had a online girlfriend,or didn't so what. He wasn't stealing laptops, wallets, gold chains, selling jershey's for tattoos, going out with his teamates girls etc. You get my point or if you don't should! This young man passed up being an instant millionaire over night last year, to show his respect to Notre Dame, and being Thankfull for what he had been blessed in life. He spent 4 years in South Bend, and this is what the media wants to focus on, unbelieveable. The time, money, articles,TV shows are making off this nonsense, again is unbelievable. I'll leave this thought with all, If I had a choice of picking someone to date my daughter, I can't think of a better young man than Manti Teo. He owes noone anything! People need to move on to something in life, that's really worth worrying about! Good Luck Manti in the future, and hold your head high! Get ready for you now, and don't look back! I for one, wish you all the happiness you can handle, and Thank you for being you ALWAYS!
