Notre Dame really needs to catch a break...Amir being cleared is great but this is the weirdest recruiting cycle for ND that I can ever recall.

Actually, you might have hit on something here...I just went on twitter and scanned his "posts". Two things stood out...the frequency and the content. Neither paints a very good picture of the young man.
First, the frequency...my initial reaction was, "how can a legitimate student-athlete at Notre Dame have time to be tweeting that much"
Second, the content...IMHO much of what he was tweeting, especially with young women was boarding on inappropriate, especially for a Notre Dame football player.
Just my two cents...time will tell

I sort of blame myself for the way I feel on this recent (revolting) development.
I was really enamored by both Tee and Deontay---one a real find in an area
of critical need with a story-line that would sound beautiful on the Saturday
afternoon airwaves--these are the kind of kids that come to ND, etc.!
The other--a real gem--an unknown that rose steadily in the recruiting charts
until he was exactly what we needed to allow us to forget Michael, another
great story-line for Saturdays. What a raw talent!
Both are gone now and with them, their talent and potential and, yes, their
story-lines. I wish them well and I am sure ND will succeed without their
presence. As for the story-lines, that's on me and I should learn to be
less romantic.
