This guy in my class was arguing that Manti Teo...

  • Would not start at linebacker for Alabama. Talk about foolish. He didn't have much evidence. He is quite knowledgeable about college football. He went on to say we don't have much speed on D and that Alabama is still the best team in the country.

    My response that Alabama is still the best team in the country: I believe the criteria for the best team is to win week in and week out and be better than anyone doing it. That's why I don't think we're the best team, but it's definitely why Alabama is not the best team in the country. You don't need to bring your A game every week, but you do need to win every game to be in consideration for the best

    Well, duh! Anybody with any sense knows that ALL good football players go to Alabama. If they don't go there, they aren't capable of playing D-1 football. That's why Alabama wins every game 90-0, except for their occasional off days when they win by only 81-3.

    The other SEC schools get the dregs that could possibly play D-1 on a good day. Every other school gets only the leftovers who shouldn't even be playing football after high school.

    This is why the SEC schedules are rated so difficult.

    Haha. By class I mean my graduating class not a class with him. Today he did admit T'eo would start there and said he was wrong about that. He doesn't like Notre Dame but said "You guys have a great football team and a hell of a defense." That is a sign of someone who is at least a fair fan.
