If there was a medical test that would tell you the exact date of your death, would you take it?
As for me, YES I would.
2 Time POTW in a previous life Plus 1 on 24/7 = Gringo Mafia Professor Emeritus of Veterans Affairs.
3 time POTW
Heck no. Then you would start to think about it and countdown. It would control your life.
Gringo Mafia Director of Recruiting Analysis // POTW --> 5-16-11 / 5-30-11 / 3-5-12 / 12-30-12 / 2-24-13 / 9-1-13 / 9-22-13
Eventually I would. Curiosity would get the best of me.
I would say no.
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Hell yes, it could be next week.

I would not want my mindset to change from living each day, to waiting to die. Just my thoughts.

I'm leaning to yes. I'd just hate to spend my last moment doing something frivo
No. The closer it got the more you would think about it, you really wouldn't be able to enjoy your last days/weeks.
My initial reaction would be yes.
I want a chance to thank all those who made it a fun ride, and provided me inspiration and meaning. I'd want one last chance to walk the campus, among other things. Doesn't hurt to have another opportunity to cleanse the soul as well.
Maybe if push came to shove, though, I'd change my mind.
I say yes as well. If you knew exactly how much or little time you had, you would not waste it on things that do not matter and only focus on living a full, fun life and find enjoyment in everything. I think if Tim McGraws song "Live like you were dying". So often, we put for tomorrow what we could do today. If you knew when the end was, you would leave nothing for tomorrow and everything would be more awe inspiring.

Considering I am scared of dying and think about it often knowing when I was going to die would give me more angst than I already have. No thank you.
Although to be quite honest I live for the moment so I guess I expect to go at anytime anyway or at least know I could.
So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view,
and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
even a stranger, when in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none.
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled
with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep
and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home
LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!
I don't really follow posts of the week ... but Paddy's would get my nod.

It would be really hard to turn away that type of information because the initial reaction is tell me and I'm going all out that week, but I couldn't imagine counting down the dies until it's all over.
I'd have to pass.

I would say no. My goal is to live life and enjoy those special people in my life, until I am no longer living, so the timing is a moot point. But great question.
No thanks. I'll do my best to be ready the day I'm called. I'm not interested in a countdown

Not to be inconsistent, but I just refinaced my house, so I know I have at least 30 more years -or I would not have been approved.
