It looks like there is a little more to it than just resisting. One of the charges, reported by wndu.com, is battery to law enforcement. Not quite sure what happened, but I am assuming with the close of the semester there was a little partying going on. Most likely there was alcohol involved. I can't help but feel bad for the kid, and hope that this doesn't end up being a decision he will regret for a long time. I am unsure as to what kind of punishment will come down from the administration and the coaching staff, but it most likely won't be good for Tommy.

Rees will likely be suspended for a part of the season, if not all. Calabrese will probably get a lesser penalty given it looks like he was the less belligerent. This hurts our depth at QB, with Rees out we now have 3 guys on the roster with a combined number of college starts equal to zero. Carlos' loss will also be felt, particularly in run defense (Navy, anyone?). More importantly, two young men are waking up to some pretty awful decision making that will affect the rest of their lives. My prayers are with them, I hope they learn from this... and I hope the cops are in no way injured.
