Top Uncommitted Prospects for Notre Dame in 2013

I think he would've gotten his offer on this visit.. Like I said though, I think it wouldn't have mattered because Montelus is a higher priority and I feel he is going to commit.

Yes, Montelus fits the criteria of what the ND staff wants in their 5th OL for this class

... and I believe he is as high on Notre Dame as Notre Dame is on him.. That was a lot of communication to say the same thing I did four hours ago. Haha.

  • We should offer this kid. Could play WR, S, or even CB at 6'3".

He's really underrated to me. Don't know how he doesn't have more offers

DeSean Smith. 6'4"/225, an ideal fit for what we want. It would be great to get a kid out of LA, especially a TE with me not feeling comfortable with Heuerman currently.

I agree with you PayDay. It's still very early in the process though; I think once his video circulates more and he has a chance to camp, he is going to have his offer sheet blow up. IMO, Carrington is much more talented than his ranking as the #49 WR in the country. I believe he should be listed as an ATH because he can play anywhere or do anything. He should good speed and a great pair of hands. He has the versatility we are looking for with his ability to line up at multiple positions on either side of the ball. Bid the kid!

  • Removed:

    #97 -- Alex Anzalone -- LB -- 6'3"/220 -- Reading, PA -- Committed to O$U

-Quick, athletic LB for his size. He's very versatile and could play inside or outside for us. Ran for 900 yards and 13 TD's as RB on his 11-1 team last year. He's a kid I expect to move up in the rankings as the camps progress. Will be in SB for our second junior day. I look forward to seeing more of him.

  • Added:

    NR/#10 Dual-Threat QB Johnny Stanton -- QB/ATH -- 6'2"/215 -- Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -- Offered

-While he may be a QB in HS, he has to be a recruit for the Irish as an athlete similar to Danny Spond coming out of HS. He is a very good athlete and following his visit, raved about Notre Dame.. Should be an interesting recruitment.

I would rather offer Chucky Williams when he camps in June. His coach told me he thought his best position in college would be CB. S/CB I'd like to have in this class. Doug Randolph tweeted James Onwuala asking for his phone # today.

I'm not advocating for an offer to Stanton, but offering Chucky Williams would be the equivalent to offering John Turner. He is a kid that should have to wait for us to miss on plan A, B, C, and maybe D before we go after him.

And I'm not seeing corner at all. Safety if anything.

  • I just read that Ryan Green named FSU his leader with notre dame close behind then Florida. I truly believe that when he comes back to Nd he will commit. He has already been to FSU like 3 times so once he sees ND again, he will remember how much he loved it and be will commit

I don't think that's correct. He did say tOSU pulled even with Louisville.

Hopefully we get another shot. I don't think he waits until SR season to decide, which hurts our chances. It also said Family=FSU fans. Who's next up if we lose out on Green? I'm already counting out of our picture.

Williams is a lot more versatile than Turner. Kid can play S, which is where I see him too, WR, CB, or add some weight and play LB. Also plays against much better competion and is more sought after player. He has Nebraska/Clemson offers and more.

Saw that tweet yesterday and it was from some Buckeye fan. I saw that he likes spread offense with tOSU and Oregon. Don't know why we aren't getting any love from this kid.shrug

Really? Randolph would be huge if Onwualu can keep swinging him.. Do you guys think the recruitment of Randolph could help with the Jaylon Smith recruitment or is it a non-factor?
