USC QB Matt Barkley returning for senior season

Per USC athletics - USC QB Matt Barkley's press conference will be held inside Heritage Hall at 1 p.m. pacific announcing decision on whether he'll leave early for the NFL. It will be streamed live on USCTrojans.com.
Junior safety TJ McDonald announced yesterday that he'll be returning for his senior season.

Just FYI, Jason - you have a typo. Your second sentence has a USC player who is eligible for the draft returning to school to graduate.

Haha good one. Have been impresseed by this young man when he speaks though. He can actually put together coherent thoughts and be personable.

I think he is staying. And Kiffin is doing his best to keep SC in the news these last few days, with 4 LOI's signed yesterday and McDonald's announcement.

Its definatly a win for notre dame if this guy goes to the nfl, i cant stand him and i hope he goes just to see him fail miserably in the pros, they wont put up with his primma donnas butt

As much as I hate USC, I am going to have to disagree with you about Matt Barkley. He is not a prima donna.

ESPN radio is now reporting this afternoon that Barkley is coming back for his senior season. Said chances to win the Heisman and play in the Rose Bowl are too much to pass up.

I am going to get shit for this I am sure but I hope he stays. He is a great QB and genuinely seems to enjoy USC, LA, Trojan Football, ect. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He is a great talent and to go into the Coliseum next year and beat SC when they are at their strongest will go a long way with a lot of fans, players, and recruits. I'm all about beating the best.

I'm watching College Football live and McShay was just saying he'd make the right decision to turn pro. I think he'll go. Why would you risk it if you're him? Although, I think he's one of the few character guys that could stay. We'll know in 26 minutes!

Good for him, he pulled a Manti. They have alot returning and it should be a heck of a game next year between the Irish and usc. Gonna be a lot of hype going into that one.
