  • I'd rather have Golson start knowing Rees is there is come in then the reverse. And that's a compliment to Tommy.

He's already proven he can come in cold and rip it vs Tulsa and South Florida. He is a team guy and can thrive at that role, helping Golson with check calls behind the scenes and on the sideline (I believe checking into the right calls to be one of Rees' strengths).

Giving Golson the starting role should only energize and give him confidence. Assuming he does the work and improves in running the plays timely, he's exciting and makes plays.

Atkinson Eifert and Riddick are beasts.

I like Cierre, but Atkinson is just better. No insult to Cierre, who'll be drafted, but it's like when Ricky Watters was behind Tony Brooks. They both need to touch the ball and Cierre should start, but I would Atkinson give more carries.

Eifert and Riddick complement each other very well with inside / outside routes and fades vs slants in the red zone. One of these two is going to lead the team in touchdowns.
Loved the way they were featured in our shotgun offense.

McDaniel is a gamer. That guy is going to e valuable the next 3 seasons in at least a run support nickel role at some point. I could see him having the Slaughter role. Heck, he could able starting by game 6 this year. Ok, maybe not, but I wouldn't count him out with how hard he plays.

Koyack and Welch looked good. Neither are as good as Eifert. I really hope we get Heuerman, as he has great upside and there's a real drop after him. The next I would want, and I'd take him as a hybrid anyway would be Mattingly Jr.

If we get Jaylon Smith, Isaac Rochelle, Mike Heuerman, Ryan Green and Demarcus Robinson, call it a banner recruiting year. Top 3 for sure.

I am going to disagree with Atkinson being better than Wood. C'mon.

So am I. Wood looks good out there. It'll be tricky keeping them all involved.

  • Yeah I wouldn't even compare Atkinson and Wood. Wood is well rounded back that runs and catches good. On top of that he is a proven 1,000 yard back that takes care of the ball and picks up blocks. Don't get me wrong Atkinson has the potential to be great but I'm not ready to say he is better than a proven Cierre Wood.
