We Need This Type of "Problem" At Notre Dame

According to an AP report, the crystal football Alabama won for beating LSU in the BCS championship game in January was shattered during festivities for the spring game. It was accidentally knocked off a display by the father of a current player when the man stumbled on a rug that was under the trophy.
The crystal football is valued at $30,000, and the school is working with the American Football Coaches Association, which owns the trophy, on getting a replacement.
Florida's 2006 trophy was destroyed when it was accidentally knocked off a pedestal by a recruit in 2008. In 2004, Florida State had two trophies stolen.

That 2008 recruit? TE Orson Charles, who chose Georgia in the end.
Not only does the kid destroy Florida's championship trophy, but he goes with its rivalry...

Probably a good choice to head to Georgia... Bad JuJu to stick around FLA after busting up their trophy. Probably wouldn't be the only ball he fumbled.

There is one sitting right in the middle of the lobby at the Gug. Maybe they should put it behind glass.

Dan, i forgot, i walked right by it plenty of times,lol. I guess i meant a chance to break one in the future. Hopefully some day there will be others to put next to the one there already.
