The shelf life of a RB is short, and they usually decide to hit the market ASAP - another season of wear and tear at the college level can affect their NFL longevity. I fully expect Cierre to declare for the draft at the conclusion of the 2012 season.

Remaining slots:

CB - Mackensie Alexander
DE - Alquadin Muhammed
RB - Khalfani Muhammed
WR - I got nothing, still shocked we cannot grab any elite talent at WR. We'll take another, but probably in line with Onwualu and Robinson (love these guys, but always nice to add a top ranked WR to the group).

The only thing I REALLY want is DLs and DBs. Muhammed, Sherit, Ogundeko, Willis, Alexander, Moore, Byrd, Hargreaves, etc. Anything we can take from this group should take precedence.

So was Eifert and Teo. It's not that I don't think Wood has the ability, I just think his numbers will be cut down due to the depth and players at the RB position. I'm sure he will seek out a NFL draft grade/projection after this year. I just don't think it will be as high as he expects and will decide to come back to raise his stock. Especially if this team is where we all think it should be after this season and has a NC run within reach for the 2013/2014 season.

Looking at a current 2012/2013 depth chart, our biggest needs appear to me to be CB and NT/3T.

We only have 2 CB's in the two classes. It would be great to get one or both of the two 5*'s ND is after, but they better get at least one more who can play.

Day is the only player in the two classes who can play at NT and 3 technique. There is no way to line up and play in a 3 -- 4 without an NT or a 4 -- 3 without a 3 technique. I am wondering why there is not more talk about Donovan Munger the last of that body type with an ND offer (to the best of my knowledge).

And the second statement you made is absolutely correct...... YES YOU WANT MORE TOP RATED HIGHSCHOOL PLAYERS.... that would only make sense.... why settle for 1 unproven 4 star? you would want to keep building with more high rated players....

Contrary to what my friend Merlin may think. I am merely a fan that loves to discuss his beloved Irish with fellow die-hard fan. I don't post things because I think I have better information then Steve, Jason, or any other sites. I hear things from time to time from guys I know that have good sources at ND but by no means do I have near the information that guys like Steve and Jason have hence why I want to run what I heard by them before even posting anything. I shouldn't have posted that there was potentially good news before running what I had heard by them because that just stirs the masses.

I will always defer to their expertise in matters of recruiting as that is why I pay my $9.95 per month.
