Thanks for your patience. A lot of hours were spent tracking info down over the last couple of days, but we're not going to run with incomplete or inaccurate info based on rumors just to be first. At least we were accurate beat the official press release by 10 minutes.

Clarification is tough because of the privacy of the student. We're all going to want to know what happened, especially with the odd description but really it's not our right. No matter how invested we are in the team.

I pointed out the same thing last night about how this story is going to get exaggerated due to the disparate punishment to other cases. It's selective memory since the dismissals are for more serious, multiple offenses and other teams reinstate players for worse infractions (OSU's Klein pleading down domestic violence). It's annoying to listen to and read as fans, but if for instance Wood was dismissed from the team or suspended for the fall semester...15 threads would open up about it just being weed and ND needs to move out of the stone age if it wants to compete; and we'd be annoyed listening to our own kind.
